2020 | What to Expect This Summer in Breckenridge
Breckenridge summers are magical and although the beautiful mountains, adventurous activities and places to stay remain the same, summer 2020 is different.
What to know when you visit Breckenridge this summer
As things constantly change, get the latest info from our public health orders prior to your trip.
You’re required to wear a mask
The State of Colorado, Summit County Public Health & the Town of Breckenridge requires face coverings in public places. Local business have the right to refuse service to anyone not wearing a mask or facial covering.
Part of Main Street is pedestrian only
Now through September 28th, walkable Main Street promotes social distancing and allows our local restaurants and shops to offer more space for guests, outdoors. Almost all Breckenridge restaurants and bars are open for takeout, pickup and limited indoor & outdoor seating. Most Breckenridge retail stores and boutiques are open, too!

Restaurants are currently operating at reduced capacity
This is to promote social distancing, table to table. If possible, make your reservation ahead of time! It’s highly recommended. Restaurants require guests to wear masks to enter the restaurant, when the servers come to the table and anytime you get up from the table.
Some events have been cancelled or postponed
Most summer events and concerts have been postponed or rescheduled based on public health orders this summer. Tours, workshops, performances and art classes are currently on hold. BreckCreate offers updates here.

Breckenridge International Festival of Arts – new series 8/13-8/23
This year BIFA is offering a new series called Trail Mix that brings live music to Breckenridge in a responsible way, on-trail and in-town. More details coming soon.

Lodging safety guidelines have been enhanced
As of June 1, reservations have been permitted for short-term rentals in Breckenridge. Most of our properties offer no-contact check-ins, where guests receive all of their rental information as well as access to the property prior to arrival. If guests do come into our office, we’ll be wearing masks and keeping 6 feet of distance for your safety.
