Explore Breck’s Epic Discovery
Take the BreckConnect Gondola up to the base of Peak 8 for family fun and adventure! Ride through the trees on the Gold Runner Coaster and Alpine Slides. Then, take the Colorado Superchair up to Alpine Camp for beautiful hiking trails, the Alpineer Challenge Course, the Expedition Zipline Tour and more! Opens mid-June.
See Remarkable Theater
Visit the Backstage Theater located in the heart of historic downtown Breckenridge. Be enriched and entertained though opportunities to participate in and experience the joy of live theater. This summer see Spamalot, Lend Me A Tenor, Annie and more!
SUP at Maggie Pond or Boat at Lake Dillon
Rent a stand-up paddle-board (SUP) and spend a day on the water with beautiful mountain views surrounding. If you are ready for a fun, relaxing and sometimes challenging experience, try SUP yoga with Meta Yoga Studio! You can also spend a day on a kayak, pontoon and more on Lake Dillon. Rentals are available through the Frisco or Dillon Marina.
Blend Your Own Wine
Stop in for wine tasting at Continental Divide Winery or better yet, schedule a wine blending experience! Taste the multiple red varietals, test different blends and chose your personal favorite. Then bottle, label and cork your wine for the perfect high-country souvenir!
Become Inspired at the BIFA
Adventure, play and creativity are the main components of this local event, the Breckenridge International Festival of Arts. Inspired by themes of environment and mountain culture, this festival brings a mix of dance, film, music and family entertainment. August 10th-19th.
Take a BreckCreate Class
Get creative in Breck’s Arts District! Classes are open to the public with a registration fee. Try ceramics, metal-smithing, yoga, printmaking, arts & crafts for kids, toddler art and so many more. There are also amazing events throughout the summer. Check the schedule here.
Tour the Breckenridge Distillery
Go behind the scenes and see how the distillery operates as you taste their award-winning spirits. If you haven’t been to the restaurant, make sure to stop by after your tour and tasting for some unique flavors and delicious dishes. Also, visit the tasting room just off Main Street!
Eat a Crepe
If you don’t see a line at Crepes A La Cart, you’ll be surprised. These savory, sweet, or build your own crepes are legendary on Main Street in Breckenridge. You can’t leave without trying one!
Conquer a 14er
Disclaimer: This is not an easy hike! If you’re ready for a full day of hiking and breathtaking views, consider hiking the highest summit of the Ten Mile Range, Quandary Peak. Don’t forget to pack a lot of water, snacks, and a jacket for the cooler temperatures up top and if the weather changes.
Get Spooked on a Haunted Tour
Explore the gloomier side of Breck’s past with the chilling tales of the ghosts that remain here. This tour will take you around town sharing haunted stories at specific landmarks and historic facts along the way.
Watch the Sunset from Boreas Pass
Nothing beats a Breckenridge sunset. Head up Boreas Pass for the best view of the Ten Mile Range. You can watch right from the road pull-off or head further up to Boreas Pass Trail for an even better view. It’s truly breathtaking!
