Breckenridge Inside Tips from the Locals

While it’s certainly not hard to find something fun to do while visiting, it’s always helpful to have a few Breckenridge inside tips from the locals. Look no further for the best powder stashes, eats, and après around town and at the resort.

Wake Up and Smell the Coffee

The local’s favorite for a morning buzz is Cuppa Joe, a little coffee shop on Ridge Street. Not only do they serve the best espresso in town, with beans roasted in Denver and Boulder, they also have delicious breakfast burritos and bagel sandwiches that are large enough to sustain you for even the biggest powder day on the slopes.

Find the Freshies

On a powder day, the line for the T-Bar or Imperial on Peak 8 can stack up even before they’ve opened. Local’s secret: hit the easy-access goods instead of waiting in line. The runs right under the Colorado and Rocky Mountain Super Chairs, like Little Johnny’s, have powder stashes all along the sides.

Après Enjoyment

Nothing is more classic Colorado than a cold pour of craft beer after a day on the slopes. Swing over to Après, the aptly named tap house on Main Street, for a post-ski beer. They’ve got dozens of craft beers on tap, many of them Colorado local. Looking for other sorts of libations? Après has a wine list and creative selection of cocktails as well.

Dinner Time

Snag a slice of pizza from North Side Pizza on Main St. after the legs are done skiing for the day. It’s not a large or fancy restaurant, but it’s certainly a local favorite and can satisfy hungry skiers and boarders. If you’re extra hungry, order one of their tasty apps, like the Lincoln Loops or cheesy bread sticks, and wash it down with a pint of local beer.

Hit these favorite stops in Breckenridge, and you’ll have nothing short of a great day, local style.
