Summer Romance in Breckenridge
Things To Do with Your Significant Other
There’s no place better than Breck for summer lovin’. Whether you’re looking for a relaxing night, something adventurous or a night out on the town, Breck has it all!
Here are some of my favorite romantic things to do in Breckenridge, Colorado…
Picnic by the River
Right off of central Main Street is the Riverwalk Center and its beautiful landscape. With the river flowing by and mountain views surrounding, it’s the perfect setting for a picnic with your love. There are also concerts and events at the Riverwalk Center all summer long which make for some great date nights!
BreckCreate Date Nights
Every month, BreckCreate hosts an evening of romance and art-making on the Arts District campus. Bring your own picnic dinner and enjoy a beer or a glass of wine included with your ticket! Art-making includes a pottery class or glassblowing class. Find tickets here.
Wine, Cheese and Chocolate
Stop in at Ridge Street Wine right off of Main Street open from noon-8 PM every day. Enjoy the cozy atmosphere, wine flights or by the glass, cheese plates, chocolate and wine parings or sandwiches. If you make it on a Friday or Saturday, there’s live acoustic music!
Hike to Mohawk Lakes
As one of the most beautiful hikes in the area, you’ve got to bring your love along on this one. Hike the single trail among the wildflowers and waterfalls, pass old mining cabins, a historic mine and enjoy the magnificent Mohawk Lakes!
Dinner dates are always a good idea. Some of my favorite date night restaurants are Legends, Hearthstone, Twist and South Ridge Seafood. It’s also fun to go up to the Traverse Restaurant and Bar at sunset for incredible views of the Ten Mile Range. For more dining any time of day, check out our Breckenridge dining guide.
Dance to Live Music
Enjoy nightly live music around town at the Riverwalk Center, Rocky Mountain Underground Tavern, Blue River Bistro (while you dine), The Historic Brown and more! From the National Repertory Orchestra to local rock and roll bands, you’ll find something to groove to.
Watch a Movie at the Speakeasy
Grab your popcorn and watch the latest movie at the local Breckenridge movie theater on Harris Street. Find an updated movie list and movie times here. They serve beer and wine, too!
Catch the Sunset
Head up Boreas Pass and watch the sunset from a pull-off viewing point or drive further to the Bakers Tank trailhead and walk the off-road for the best views of the Ten Mile Range. Bring a blanket and your date, this spot will not disappoint! Other great sunset spots are Sapphire Point, Hoosier Pass or Loveland Pass. Or, bike to catch the sunset at Lake Dillon in between Breckenridge and Frisco.
