Why You’ll Want to Be Here
Every fall, Breckenridge turns Main Street into a Bavarian-style block party. From September 12–14, 2025, the 28th annual Oktoberfest brings live music, local beers, and great food to town, all surrounded by crisp mountain air and fall colors.
It’s a weekend to take at your own pace, stein in hand, chatting with friends, and enjoying everything Breck has to offer.

Drinks & Steins
Reserve your 2025 stein online and pick it up at the Riverwalk Center. Beer, wine, and cider are purchased using a credit-card-linked wristband. No tokens this year.
Cost
Entry is free. Load any amount onto your wristband and pay as you go.
Family Friendly?
Yes. For a quieter experience, we recommend Friday afternoon or Sunday.
Pets
Please leave dogs at home. Service animals are welcome.
Sustainability
All drinks are served in reusable cups. A small green fee supports waste-free operations, and free water stations encourage you to bring a refillable bottle.

Raise a Local Pour
Breckenridge Brewery will be pouring their Märzen and Festbier, alongside guest breweries serving crisp lagers, wheat beers, and IPAs. Cider, wine, and non-alcoholic options are also available.
Sample Bavarian Bites
Main Street vendors serve up bratwursts, giant pretzels, roasted nuts, and apple strudel. Perfect for grabbing a bite between drinks.
Enjoy the Music
Polka bands set the tone early in the day, while folk-rock bands take the stage as evening approaches. Bring comfortable shoes. Dancing is encouraged.
Test Your Stamina
The stein-holding contest always draws a crowd. The Oktoberfest 5K finishes right at Blue River Plaza, perfect for runners who want to cool down with a cold one. Registration opens later this summer.
Insider Tips from Locals
- Pick Up Your Wristband Early. Activate it online, then grab it at the Riverwalk Center or entrances to skip the line.
- Dress in Layers. Days are warm in the sun, but it cools off quickly in the afternoon.
- Skip the Parking Hassle. Downtown lots fill fast. Park free on Airport Road and hop on the Gray Route bus, or stay within walking distance.
- Bring a Water Bottle. Free refill stations are at both ends of Main Street, and staying hydrated helps at altitude.
- Volunteer. Pour beer or sell steins for a few hours and get a free stein and two drinks. Spots fill quickly.
- Make It a Long Weekend Getaway!
