Arts + Culture in Breckenridge

Breathtaking mountains, endless outdoor activities, Main Street festivals, and the authentic community are my reasons for making Breck, home.

Breckenridge is known for the beautiful and breathtaking mountains, charming town and world-class ski resort. But, those are just a few of the wonderful things Breck has to offer. On top of the endless events, and some of the best restaurants in Colorado, Breck also has an inspiring Arts + Culture scene…

DISCOVER THE BRECKENRIDGE ARTS DISTRICT

The Breckenridge art scene has boomed over the past few years. The Arts District, AKA BreckCreate, includes visual and performing arts, museum activities, and education. Also, culinary arts, design, film and literature, to name a few more. The BreckCreate community offers a scenic mountain environment with opportunities for individual self-expression and cultural exploration.

While you’re here, be sure to try something new! Breckenridge Arts District offers art classes to the public, daily. Each building in the District offers unique workshops. So, get crafty with your kids, get your hands dirty at a ceramics class, try jewelry making, and so much more. See the full class schedule here.

VISIT ISAK, THE TROLL

We will be sure to announce when you can visit him! Sometime in mid-June, weather permitting.

Isak Heartstone is a large-scale, wooden troll sculpture made from recycled materials. And you may remember him from last summer. He was created by Danish artist Thomas Dambo, co-commissioned by the Town of Breckenridge and Breckenridge Creative Arts. This June, the famous Breckenridge troll is returning to a new location! Isak welcomes those who will love his home as he does and leave no trace on his new surroundings. He will be located on the Trollsteigen Trail, a one-way directional trail.
