If you haven’t seen Breckenridge in the summertime, you’re in for a treat. Once the resort closes and [most] snow melts, it’s still as beautiful as ever. There are so many family-friendly activities and events for you and your family to enjoy. Breckenridge is the summer getaway that will not only inspire you but provide your family with unforgettable memories.
Outdoor Activities
Biking
Mountain Biking Trails – Pence Miller Trail [0.7 miles], Tiger Road [6.5 miles], Sallie Barber Mine [9.5 miles]
Road Biking Trails – Blue River Recreation Path [7 miles in Breckenridge] Great for any level. Continue through Breckenridge to Frisco or all the way to Dillon if you’d like!

Hiking
Boreas Pass Road [Easy] – a dirt road trail with incredible views of the Ten MileRange.
McCullough Gulch [Moderate] – 3 miles of mountain views, lakes and a waterfall!
Peaks Trail [Difficult] – 15.5 miles of mountain views, wildflowers and wildlife.
Epic Discovery Fun Park
Zip-line, rock climb, challenge course, gold runner coaster, mini golf and so much more! All families are welcome and are sure to have a good time under the clear skies and warm sun on top of the mountain!

Golf
A 27-hole course with beautiful mountain views. The clubhouse sits at an elevation of 9,324 feet which allows you to hit the ball farther and straighter!
Playing golf in Breck also offers temperatures that make you forget about the heat of the summer.
Boating at Lake Dillon
The full-service marina offers boat rentals, boat tours, stand up paddleboards, and kayaks. Make sure to stop that the Island Bar and Grill in Frisco or the Tiki Bar in Dillon for a bite to eat, some drinks, and some live music.
Horseback Riding
Explore the Ten Mile Range on horseback at the Breckenridge Stables. They offer safe horseback riding for the entire family. With over 100 horses to choose from, they are sure to have one for your ability.
SUP Yoga
Bring the whole family and join Meta Yoga Studio on Maggie Pond for stand-up paddle-board yoga. Step out of your comfort zone for a fun, challenging and relaxing experience on the water.
Indoor Activities
BreckCreate
Daily hands-on activities, crafts, music and more in Breck’s Creative Arts District. Free activities and crafts on the second Saturday of each month from 10-noon! Parents with children of all ages are welcome; first come, first served. Check the schedule!
Breckenridge Rec Center
Rock climbing, pools, tennis courts, basketball courts and much more. There are endless programs and activities for any age.
Downstairs at Eric’s Arcade
All types of arcade games for any age and a full restaurant with pizza, burgers, wings and many other tasty options right on Main Street!
Mountain Top Children’s Museum
A hands-on learning facility with exhibits, crafts, and building activities. There’s also a kid’s night out every Tuesday, Friday and Saturday. Drop off your children for a fun night at the museum while parents have a few hours out!
Paint at Ready Paint Fire
Paint your own art! There’s pottery, canvas, mosaic and glass fusing. There’s also an art & wine happy hour daily from 6-9 pm!

Gold Panning Championships
June 15-17
Come learn how to pan for gold and watch the 2018 Gold Panning Championships unfold on Main Street. Everyone is invited to learn, and the event is free and open to the public!
Breckenridge Street Art Festival
July 2-4
An Independence Day event celebrating patriotism including outdoor installations, chalk art and other throwback activities with a contemporary twist.

Kick off your day with a 10K Trail Run or the Firecracker 50 Mountain Bike Race which kicks off the Main Street Parade! There are a ton of activities throughout the day and fireworks in the evening!
