Visit Our Local Dog Park
Right in downtown Breckenridge at 300 S. High Street is Carter Park, the fenced in public dog park! There are also picnic tables, gas grills, views of the Ten Mile Range, a hiking trail in the summer and more. It’s a great place for your pup to play with other friendly dogs on your vacation.
Ride The Gondola
The BreckConnect Gondola is pet-friendly! And will take you and your dog from Downtown up to the Base of Peak 8 (and back) where you can relax on a patio in the sun and hike the mountain in the summer.

Boreas Pass/Baker’s Tank
Open: Year-round | Distance: up to 5.1 miles
This beautiful trail up Baldy Mountain on Boreas Pass offers panoramic scenic views of the Ten Mile Range through pines and aspens. The trail is relatively flat and is accessible year-round. This is a must-hike trail on your Breckenridge adventure!
McCullough Gulch
Open: April-October | Distance: 6.2 miles
The McCullough Gulch Trail is located 2.2 miles west of Highway 9 on the north side of Quandary Peak. It follows an old mining road before splitting off on a rugged path to White Falls and Upper Blue Reservoir. This spectacular lake has a long, open shore with many good vantages and nooks to explore. McCullough Gulch is a popular trail, perfect for you and your furry friend.
Spruce Creek to Mohawk Lakes
Open: April-October | Distance: 6 miles
This hike has breathtaking views and is well worth the hike to the lakes! Lower and Upper Mohawk Lakes are located 2.95 and 3.35 miles from the Spruce Creek Trailhead south of Breckenridge. The lakes sit just at and above tree-line along the south flank of Mt Helen in a spectacular glacial valley in the Ten Mile Range. Bring your active pup with you along for the trek.
