Ready for your adventure? Make sure to bring…

yOUR cAMERA

Whether it’s your phone camera, a vintage polaroid or your digital you take on all your travels, don’t forget your camera to capture your Breckenridge vacation! While you’re here, make sure to follow us on InstagramFacebook and Twitter and tag #visitbreck so we can follow along and share your adventures!

Your Reusable water bottle

Do yourself and the environment a favor by bringing a reusable water bottle with you to Breckenridge! Hydration is critical up here at high altitude and with fresh mountain spring water at every turn, there is no excuse not to drink up all day, every day!

Your Favorite Hats

Packing your favorite brimmed hat or beanie is another must-bring. Bring a brimmed hat that will protect your skin from the sun on adventures and your go-to beanie that will keep you warm in the evenings; on hikes, in town, or during a soak in the hot tub!

Your Backpack

Bringing your backpack along on your trip and your daily adventures is a necessity. The perfect day pack is one that allows you to be on-the-move (and it better have room for snacks, water and a spare layer…or two). Whether you’re soaring above the trees on a zip-line at Epic Discovery, on a long hike or bike ride, or just walking around town, you’ll want to be prepared for sudden weather changes and have that extra fuel and hydration.

Your Sunscreen + Sunglasses

At approximately 9,600 feet of elevation, we’re much closer to the sun in Breck and average over 300 days of sunshine a year. Come prepared with plenty of sunscreen, and sunglasses. The beach is not the only destination that will leave you with a sunburn if you’re not prepared.

Your Rain Jacket

Come to Breckenridge prepared to layer up or layer down throughout the day. In the summertime, the weather can change in a blink of an eye! Pack a great rain jacket or waterproof shell, a fleece and a base layer. And make sure to throw your rain jacket in your backpack for any daily activity, just in case.

Your Favorite Sweater or hoodie

Summer in Breckenridge still means chilly mornings and evenings. Make sure to pack your favorite cozy clothes for sipping coffee on your porch in the early mornings, hiking to watch the sunrise, spending happy hour on our favorite local patios or stargazing from a mountain top, just to name a few.

Your hiking pants, Shorts + favorite jeans

Bring along comfortable hiking pants and shorts for hitting the trails, biking, and enjoying all the summer activities and events Breck has to offer. Bring your favorite pair of jeans for walking around town, going out to dinner or horseback riding.

Your HIKING BOOTS or WATERPROOF shoes

Don’t forget a waterproof pair of shoes or boots with proper traction for around town, on a bike ride, white water rafting or on muddy, or snowy trails (if you’re hiking in the high-alpine)!

If, for any reason, any of these items don’t make it into your luggage, do not worry. The town of Breckenridge has an abundance of high quality outdoor gear & apparel shops. Finding the gear you need (or want) will not be difficult, I promise.
